Q: How do I purchase an Image?
A: We provide an easy online check-out system here on JacobMaentz.com for your purchases of fine art prints and image licenses. Start by searching our Stock Gallery and add the image(s) you would like to your shopping cart. When you are ready to checkout follow the instructions within your shopping cart. You will be brought to PayPal’s secure website to finish processing your order. If you have any trouble with purchasing or have additional questions please feel free to contact us.

Q: I would like to purchase a fine art print , which type of paper do you recommend?
A: We offer three types of Kodak professional paper for your fine art prints, Portra Endura Paper (Matte Finish), Endura Metallic Paper (Pearlescent Finish) and Black & White Paper (Matte Finish). For most prints we recommend the Portra Endura Paper, which is also called Traditional E-Surface Paper. This paper looks very good with almost all the images found here on JacobMaentz.com. Additionally, skin tones look the best on this Traditional E-Surface Paper. We would recommend the Endura Metallic Paper for landscape images and images with bold colors which don’t include people. For Black and White Images we recommend using the Black and White Paper for the best printing.

Q: I would like to purchase an image license, what is meant by “editorial use” and “commercial use”?
A: Editorial use is where the image is used for newsworthy purposes. Examples may include news articles, journals, or travel guides. This differs from commercial use where the photo is used to sell a product such as in sales brochures, advertisements, product labels, etc.. Licensing of images through the shopping cart for commercial use is not permitted because it may require a model release and not all images on the site have model releases available. If you need the image for commercial use, please fill out our Image Licensing Form to see if the image is available for commercial use and to receive a price quote.

Q: I have a custom request, can you accommodate me?
A: If you would like your fine art prints on a different style of paper/size or your digital file(s) on a CD instead of a download, or have any other custom requests, feel free to contact us and we will try our best to accommodate it.

Q: I would like to purchase multiple images, do you offer any type of discount?
A: Pricing can be negotiated for multiple image requests. Please contact us with your inquiry.

Q: I am interested in buying an image for exclusive use, can you offer this for any of your images?
A: Most of the images may be negotiated for exclusive use. Please send us an inquiry to find out pricing and more information about purchasing an image for exclusive use.

Q: How will the image(s) be delivered to me?
A: For purchasers of image licenses, you will receive an email with details on how to download your images after your order is processed. Although this usually only takes a few hours, it is possible that the process may take up to 2 days. Fine art prints are custom printed and are typically shipped within 48 hours of placing your order. If your purchase is urgent, feel free to contact us to check turnaround time.

Q: What type of payment to you accept?
A: We use PayPal for all of our online transactions. PayPal is secure, easy to use and all major credit cards are accepted. You do not need to open a PayPal account to purchase an image.
